JJ Beggs, a second year Master of Social Work student, was honored as a recipient of the prestigious USF Golden Bull Award. JJ was one of 20 students chosen out of 223 applications. The Golden Bull Award "recipients embrace and epitomize the following values of the institution: leadership within the community; engagement with the community and public service; success and academic achievement through research, pursuit of knowledge and critical thinking skills; enhanced global experience and understanding of cultural and ethnic diversity; development of personal and professional potential; and demonstrated commitment to respect, integrity, and civility."

Congratulations to Kayla Ortiz, a current Bachelor of Social Work student, and her fellow members of Delta Tau Lambda Sorority, Incorporated, who won the USF Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life Chapter of the Year Award. In order to receive this award a chapter must demonstrate "overall success in the areas of integrity, scholarship, leadership, and service. This chapter has been acknowledged in the community as a model organization with regard to conduct, leadership development, alumni support and relations, council support and relations, chapter management, risk management, recruitment/intake, values congruence, member development and engagement, and university engagement."
