Supervisor Speaker Series 2016 - Hiring those with Visas/Foreign Nationals
The 2016 Supervisor Speaker Series is a series of workshops designed to address the most pressing issues that our supervisors face on a daily basis. Supervisors and staff who provide support to HR functions may attend any or all of the workshops throughout the year to help develop skills as a supervisor.

In this seminar, Marcia Taylor will discuss the legal requirements governing the hiring of foreign nationals and those in the U.S. on Visas. She'll speak about the various types of Visas, what restrictions and regulations apply to the prospective employee and employer, and what employers should and should not do to ensure compliance and equity in the workplace while maintaining a diverse and welcoming academic environment.
