FCIC Launches Florida DD Waitlist Campaign

Florida Center for Inclusive Communities, a division of CFS, has recently launched a social media campaign "Our Time is Now." The aim is to educate the general public and legislators about the urgent need for increased funding to reduce Florida's Developmental Disability Medicaid Waiver Waitlist. The campaign features a dedicated website  and Facebook page. A brief overview about the issue is available here. Supporters of this campaign are encouraged to sign the petition. CBCS Employee Recognition Award Program (RAP) Nominations Being Accepted

The CBCS Employee Recognition Award Program (RAP) recognizes Administrative, Staff and Temporary personnel employees with at least one year of service, and a performance rating of satisfactory, for their outstanding contributions/achievements. Nominations will be accepted beginning March 20th through the deadline date of March 31st. Two recipients will each receive an award of $750.00. More information about the program and nomination forms can be found here. Completed nomination packages should be sent directly to Regina L. Brown at MHC 1133 or via email to rlbrown@usf.edu by April 3rd. Judging will be conducted the week of 4/10/17 and the recipients will be announced at the Faculty Spring Assembly on April 28th, 2017.

Active Threat Training

All employees are encouraged to attend the Active Shooter training on March 24, 2017, from 10:00 - 11:30am in the Atrium Lobby. This prevention and response training provides valuable information about the characteristics, prevention tools, and response techniques that may be used before and during an active shooter situation. This course is an interactive experience with emergency management and law enforcement officials.
