CBCS Scholarships And Your Contribution
Mental Health Counseling is a much needed and growing field. Your contribution to the Faculty/Staff Campaign will make a difference and help educate new future professionals in the field.

The Department of Child & Family Studies Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling master's program offers two scholarships to students based on merit and/or financial needs:

Calvin M. Pinkard Scholarship -fund code 420033
Dr. Calvin Pinkard, Jr. was the founding Chair of the Rehabilitation Counseling Program at USF, where he served as chairman for 30 years. Upon his retirement, Dr. Pinkard was honored with a scholarship in his name for graduate students who were pursuing a degree in Rehabilitation & Mental Health Counseling and who were involved in community service activities.

Susan D. Kelley RMHC Textbook Scholarship -fund code 530021
Dr. Susan Kelley was a former Director of Graduate Studies and Interim Vice-Chair of the Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling Program at USF. During her tenure at USF, Dr. Kelley was active in disability policy work, providing analyses and consultation to advocacy organizations, professional associations, and service providers concerned with the disability perspective in state and national health care reform. This scholarship is based on financial need.

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders Audiology offers a fund for Audiology students.

Audiology Student Training Resource Fund-fund code 530046
This fund  designated for the purchase of special audiology equipment, supplies, or tools that enhance the clinical training experience of students enrolled in the Doctor of Audiology (AuD) program. This fund is also used for special training activities such as travel support for Audiology students attending conferences or continuing education training events. Recently, for example, this fund was used to support 5 students in the program to attend American Academy of Audiology conference in Indianapolis. The fund was also used to purchase a PA system for the students to use in public presentations at community education activities both on and off campus.

CBCS also offers scholarships for CBCS undergraduate students who are engaged in research with CBCS faculty.

The Moms Project- fund code 530028
The project was initiated in 2010 by Drs. Catherine Batsche, Roger Boothroyd, and Mary Armstrong to honor their mothers who shared a common history: none had been able to pursue a college education because of the Great Depression, World War II, and family responsibilities. A contribution to the Moms Project not only provides a way to help our students but also helps you to honor your own mother. By contributing to the Moms Project, your mother can be added to the Moms Honor roll
