Dr. Tim Boaz appointed President of the Faculty Senate
Dr.Tim Boaz, PhD, was appointed President of the USF Tampa Faculty Senate in May, 2018. This appointment occurred after Jim Garey, who was the President, was hired by the Provost to replace Kofi Glover as the Vice Provost for Academic Labor Relations and Space Planning. As a member of the administration, Dr. Gary was no longer eligible to serve in the Faculty Senate. Dr. Boaz was serving as Vice President of the Senate having been elected to that position last year. He had previously served as Member at Large for the Senate. He will fill the position of President through the end of the 2018-19 academic year. Dr. Boaz will be the 28th President of the Faculty Senate and is the 3rd member from the Department of Mental Health Law & Policy to serve in this role. Drs. Michael Knox and Greg Teague were previous Presidents.
