CSD Faculty Receive NIDCD Grant

Robert Lutfi, PhD (PI), Jungmee Lee, PhD (Co-I) and Ann Eddins, PhD (Co-I) have received a $2,386,000 grant from the The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) for a five year project entitled "Individual Differences Listening in Noise in Clinically Normal-hearing Adults". The project seeks to understand why young, healthy individuals whose hearing is evaluated to be normal differ so dramatically in their ability to listen effectively in everyday noisy environments. It is expected that the knowledge gained from these studies will inform efforts that seek to improve the evaluation, classification and treatment of what is a debilitating problem for many.

Each year the trainers within the Child Welfare Training Consortium are encouraged to share their knowledge with other child welfare professionals by submitting a proposal for consideration.
