USF School of Social Work and USF Health plan collaboration with Partners In Health, Peru

Dr. Jerome Galea (Social Work) led a delegation of 4 physicians from USF Health to Lima, Peru on August 8-9 to explore a collaborative relationship with the Peruvian branch of the international nonprofit organization Partners In Health (known locally as "Socios En Salud" or SES; https://sociosensalud.org.pe/). SES conducts several service, research and training projects from a social justice perspective. The delegation visited informal settlements in an impoverished area of northern Lima characterized by high rates of poverty and lack of access to water, sanitation and basic health services. Dr. Galea, who has collaborated with SES since 2010, is working to create opportunities for mutual learning exchanges between SES and USF.

Effective Fall 2019, Midterm Grades Due Week 7-8 of Semester

In Spring 2019 the midterm grade policy changed to make midterm grades due week 7-8 in an effort to facilitate performance toward our student success initiatives. The Office of the Registrar's calendar was recently updated to reflect the new dates in accordance with the new policy. For the Fall 2019, midterm grading opens on October 7 and closes on October 18. The new dates should be reflected in Fall 2019 course syllabi. Click here for the Registrar's calendar.
