RMHC Faculty Host Training Event

Faculty within the Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling (RMHC) program hosted a Spring Training Event for RSA Scholars on Wednesday, February 26, 2020. The RSA Scholar Program provides scholarships to cover the cost of earning a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling when scholars agree to work in the field of vocational rehabilitation after graduation. Scholarships are funded by a federal training grant sponsored through the U.S. Department of Education - Rehabilitation Services Administration. Our RMHC program is in the fifth year of a 5-year funding cycle. We have awarded 33 students scholarships through this training grant. We anticipate a second cycle of funding to be awarded this year so that we may continue making an impact in this high need area of counseling that focuses on working with individuals with disabilities to help them achieve their employment goals.
