COVID-19 Update: A Note from the Dean

Colleagues,

I can't thank you enough for all the outstanding work you have done to help keep our students on track to complete their degree at the University of South Florida! Incredible job! Last week the Board of Governors requested information regarding how the universities were actively trying to help our communities with the COVID-19 pandemic. I put out a request through the Chairs and Directors to learn more about your professional involvement with the community in this particular space. The list of activities that I received was overwhelming and so impressive! Please click here to read more about what your colleagues are doing in the community. If we've missed anything, please feel free to send to Patty Cleveland (clevelan@usf.edu) and we will have it added.

Stay well,
Julie

COVID-19 Q&A Update with the Dean

Dean Julie Serovich is hosting a COVID-19 Q&A meeting on Thursday, April 2nd at 10am. This is an opportunity for all CBCS faculty and staff to hear the latest USF COVID-19 updates and ask the Dean questions.

This will be a virtual meeting conducted in Microsoft Teams. To participate in the meeting, you will need to accept the Outlook meeting invite that will be resent to everyone later today. No need to accept the meeting invite if you have already done so. Included in the meeting invite is a link to the Teams meeting. There are 2 ways to join the meeting: using Teams, or by phone. For those working remotely, you can join the meeting by clicking on the "Join the Microsoft Teams Meeting" link in the Outlook calendar meeting. If you want to join by phone, there is also a phone number and conference call information included in the Outlook calendar invite. We expect a large group to join the meeting, so all video and audio will be turned off or muted during the meeting, except for the Dean. If you are calling in, please make sure you mute your speaker. You will be able to ask questions in the chat function in Teams. To do this, click on the purple box in the lower part of the screen to "Join the conversation". This is where you type in your questions for the Dean to respond to. She will try to answer as many questions as possible during the meeting.

Please let Patty Cleveland know if you have any questions in advance. The Teams meeting is limited to about 250 participants.
