USF-PATS Success Story
photo of jonathan powellThe USF Speech-Language Clinic led by Dr. Nathan Maxfield is proud to share another inspiring client story. Four years ago, Jonathan Powell attended USF-PATS just before entering high school at age 13. His parents were concerned he'd be teased because of his younger age, smaller stature, and severe stuttering. After completing PATS, Jonathan participated in non-intensive maintenance therapy at USF for a couple of additional years. Words can't really capture Jonathan's brilliance and the amazing support he receives from his family. This May, Jonathan graduated from Keystone Prep, at age 16, as Valedictorian of his class. Jonathan is headed for Florida A&M to study Pharmacy. We appreciate the opportunity to support young people who stutter like Jonathan along their journeys.
